Dog accessories are often photographed on one very particular kind of dog: tiny, fluffy, beautifully behaved and willing to look directly into the camera. We love those dogs - and they're popular for a reason (we even have a tiny fluffy at home). But they are not the only dogs getting dressed for a walk.
For the Midnight Collection Relaunch, we wanted to show our velvet dog accessories on a range of dogs, all with actual characters: curly little sidekicks, low-riding dachshunds, floofy paws, and dogs with a presence so strong they probably need their own publicist.
We therefore specifically chose a range of different pups to join us for this relaunch. The result? Rose Pink and Midnight Blue, worn seven completely different ways. Check it out for yourself...
The Curly Scene-Stealer
Toffee proves that small dogs do not need small style. Midnight Blue against an apricot coat is one of those combinations that instantly looks recogniseable for all the right reasons. We couldn't resist contrasting it against the beautiful blue sky we were blessed with that day.
For dogs with soft, curly coats, a rich colour helps the walking set stand out rather than disappear into the fluff.
The Puppy with Places to Be
Some dogs seem to arrive already editorial. Maisie in our Rose Pink collar is proof that even the most elegant, long-legged dogs can have a ridiculous amount of personality.
Our new Rose Pink Velvet Sailor Bow makes the look feel a little more playful; the pink keeps it bold without being precious. Not every dog wants to blend in on a walk - and our sailor bows really do make any pup stand out.
The Sophisticated Saussie

The Black-and-Tan Big Paws
Ronnie is showing how good Rose Pink can look on a darker coat - and we paired her with a strong rope lead suitable for her size and strength, but made it lilac to complete the curated look. It gives the whole outfit a proper pop of colour without feeling overly sweet - very cool girl about town.
A matching walking set is the easy answer when you want your dog to look pulled together without overthinking it: choose the colour, add the pieces you use every day (collar over harness if that's what you genuinely use), and let the dog do the rest.
